Position Overview: As an FPGA Design Engineer, you will play a key role in our firmware development team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, simulating, and testing firmware for FPGA-based systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on the latest FPGA technologies, including PCI Express Gen6, FPGAs with HBMs, and the largest FPGAs available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality RTL code using VHDL and Verilog.
  • Create functional simulations and develop robust test benches.
  • Define FPGA timing, pinout, and placement constraints, and analyze synthesis and timing reports to address any issues.
  • Create test scripts and tools to validate FPGA components.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to support future product development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of post-graduate experience in FPGA development using VHDL and/or Verilog.
  • Proficiency with AMD (Xilinx) Vivado and Vitis tools.
  • Hands-on experience with AMD Versal and Ultrascale+ FPGAs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Beneficial Skills:

  • Familiarity with JESD204B and JESD204C high-speed ADCs and DACs.
  • Knowledge of interface protocols such as SPI and I2C.
  • Programming experience with Python, C, Lua, Bash.
  • Experience working in a Linux environment.

Location:

This is an in-office role at our headquarters in Irvine, California. Remote work is not available.
