for the DSP-based Vibration Control Electronics (VCE) circuit card
assembly. The purpose of the VCE is to demonstrate vibration isolation,
suppression, steering capabilities, and their benefits to optical
payloads during space flight.
A combination of passive and active
vibration isolation is achieved via a three axis magnetic voice
coil hexpod configuration. This radiation-hardened design is based
on
the TI TMS320C31 Digital Signal Processor and includes RS485
and 1553 interfaces, FLASH and SRAM memory, and various A/D sensor
interfaces.
The contract included delivery of two engineering prototypes
and one flight ready CCA. |
